In the spirit of this season of love we want to open our February Newsletter with a special Valentine to CLUE Members.

• After working tirelessly for state and local protections of their jobs in the face of COVID-19 (called the right of retention and recall) some Chateau Marmont workers began to return to work last week. Their struggles for workplace dignity, though, are far from over.
• CLUE joined more than 70 organizations in asking the LA County Board of Supervisors to follow up to improve oversight of the LA County Sheriff.

• NUHW workers win a new contract without having to go on strike! Shortly after West Anaheim Medical Center workers declared a 5-day strike earlier this month, hospital management returned to the bargaining table ready to agree to a new contract that finally raises NUHW members' pay to market rate. • Kingspan management have been ignoring worker requests for clean air for months. Now we are asking you to  join environmentalists and labor partners in urging the green building community to reconsider their partnerships with Kingspan until changes are made to the Santa Ana factory.
